Wellbeing – My Way


I believe WellBeing is distinct from happiness, which can come and go, (see my first post : ‘happy’ is a reactive emotion in my opinion) whereas Wellbeing is a consistent state of wellness, satisfaction, and contentment physically and mentally and soulfully.

The word is pretty broad, but I love it. Because we are capable of creating our own meanings to suit our lifestyle choices.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or illness”.  WHO also describes Mental Wellbeing as “the state in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”

There are so many elements that contribute to someone’s WellBeing. But the most important one, to me, is a sense of purpose. – Nina 2017

This has been the one part of Wellbeing I have struggled with the most, in my life, and the only person I can count on to realise it is; me. I experiment with the balance of Wellbeing every day, and you know what? Sometimes I fail miserably, but then I focus on all the other elements and try to weigh out the situation as a whole.

The things I have collected here, encompass the #tilcotrio = Body+Mind+Soul, and have helped me begin to build this sense of WellBeing. I’ll keep trying new things… I may as well make the most of it!
